2021 Audi Q4 e-tron Release Date: Coming to the USA?

The new Audi Q4 release date is scheduled for early in the 2021 calendar year. We expect to see the new Audi Q4 e-tron arrive in Colorado Springs soon. Additionally, the 2021 Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback models should arrive either at the same time or shortly after.

2021 Audi Q4 e-tron Price

We know the base Audi Q4 e-tron price will be $45,000, but Audi hasn't released pricing on the other models yet. We can only assume that the top-of-the-line Audi Q4 e-tron might cost around $55,000.

2021 Audi Q4 e-tron Electric Motor & Powertrain

The 2021 Audi Q4 e-tron is powered by an electric motor located on every axle to produce 300 horsepower and quattro all-wheel-drive. According to the Audi Q4 e-tron specs, a 0-60mph acceleration time of just 6.3 seconds is expected. With the included adaptive suspension, the ride remains smooth on any terrain.

The Q4 e-tron comes with an 82.0 kWh battery pack. That helps the Audi Q4 e-tron range reach 280 miles on a full charge. It also supports charging up to 125-kW, allowing it to hit 80 percent battery capacity within 30 minutes of charging.

The Q4 e-tron interior is filled with the latest technology, including a standard digital gauge and large infotainment touchscreen. There is room to hold four occupants, complete with front and rear bucket seats.

We don't know the Audi Q4 e-tron SUV dimensions yet but will update the post when the information is available. For a size comparison, the Q4 e-tron should be larger than the Audi Q3 but slightly smaller if not very close to the Audi Q5 SUV size. While we can't confirm the exact exterior colors offered, we might see some of the same choices from the 2021 Audi Q5. These colors include Ultra Blue, District Green, Navarra Blue, Floret Silver, Mythos Black, Ibis White, and Monsoon Gray.

2021 Audi Q4 e-tron vs. Audi e-tron SUV

As of now, the Audi e-tron SUV offers more passenger space than the 2021 Audi Q4 e-tron. This difference in interior space is because the Audi e-tron SUV closely mimics the size of an Audi Q7, whereas the new Q4 e-tron is meant to be more compact and sportier like the Q5. All Audi e-tron SUVs have high-end interiors filled with the latest comforts and technologies, and no expense was spared on either the normal e-tron SUV or the all-new Q4 e-tron. The Audi e-tron SUV features a slightly more robust setup, producing 402 horsepower (with boost technology) and hitting 60mph in 5.5sec, but the starting price is also higher at $65,900.

Will There Be an Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback (Coupe)?

Audi has announced that a Q4 e-tron Sportback model will be available, just like the regular e-tron lineup. The Q4 e-tron should be available in 2021, with the traditional models. If not, 2022 could be a fallback date. The Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback trades some storage room to create a slicker roofline and design much like the Audi e-tron Sportback version. The Q4 e-tron Sportback price will likely be more expensive than the SUV version as well.

Even though no one has had the chance to try out the 2021 Audi Q4 e-tron, many enthusiasts have spoken highly of the design. For example, Car and Driver wrote, "The interior is a technological showcase of all of Audi's latest and greatest gadgets." Autoweek went on to remark, "The world of electric Audi models is about to get interesting." As the models arrive at dealerships, we expect to hear even more favorable reviews.
