EXTERIOR & COLORS

The 2024 Chevy Suburban is the larger of the two options at 226″ L x 81″ W x 76″ H, versus the Tahoe at 211″ L x 81″ W x 76″ H. Both of these options have the capability to be equipped with 18-22" wheels. Both SUVs have the following color options:

INTERIOR DESIGN & SEATING

While the Tahoe is slightly smaller in size, these 2024 models have three rows that hold anywhere from seven to nine people, based on how you configure it.

INFOTAINMENT & FEATURES

Both the 2024 Chevy Suburban and 2024 Chevy Tahoe come standard with Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, an 8" touch screen, a six-speaker sound system, six USB ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

CARGO CAPACITY

The biggest difference between these two Chevy models is the available cargo space. While slightly smaller, the 2024 Chevy Tahoe excels at providing cargo space. In the rear, it holds 25.5 cubic feet of gear. With the rear seats down, there's 72.6 cubic feet, while all of the back seats folded would accommodate 122.9 cubic feet. Inside the 2024 Chevy Suburban, you will find the most room for cargo of any comparable 2024 SUV. In the rear, there's 41.5 cubic feet of cargo space, with 93.8 cubic feet available with the back seat down. With both of the back rows folded down, there's a maximum of 144.7 cubic feet available.

TOWING CAPACITY

Both the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban are well equipped to tow most things a truck can. Impressively, the Tahoe will tow up to 8,400 pounds when equipped with the right tow package. Similarly, the Chevy Suburban can tow up to 8,300 pounds with the right equipment.

DRIVETRAIN & SUSPENSION

Both the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are equipped with rear-wheel drive. Further capability can be added with available all-wheel drive and some models offering four-wheel drive.

ENGINE

The 2024 Chevy Suburban and Chevy Tahoe share the same engine options. Here are the available powertrains.

• 355-horsepower 5.3L V8
• 420-horsepower 6.2L V8
• 277-horsepower 3.0L turbodiesel

All three pair with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

PERFORMANCE & MPG

Due to being smaller and lighter, the 2024 Chevy Tahoe is slightly more fuel-efficient than the 2024 Chevy Suburban. Equipped with a turbo-diesel engine and 2WD, the Chevy Tahoe can achieve up to an EPA-estimated 21/28 MPG (City/Highway).1 By contrast, the same powertrain in the 2024 Chevy Suburban delivers an EPA-estimated 21/27 MPG (City/Highway).  Due to its slightly larger size, the Suburban offers a 28-gallon fuel tank, whereas the Tahoe has a 24-gallon fuel tank.

SAFETY FEATURES

The 2024 Chevrolet Suburban and 2024 Chevy Tahoe offer plenty of standard driver-assist technology features, even with their base models. Both come standard with a rearview camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and a rear-seat alert, along with front and rear parking sensors.
